    1/2cup (120 ml) heavy cream

One-fourth cup, or fifty grams, of powdered sugar

 

    1cup (250 g) sugarpaste

Instructions for Making Santa Claus Cake


 

1Preparing the cake

    1Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit)

    2Grease a 20 cm (8-inch) round cake pan with butter and dust with flour

    3Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt in a sizable bowl

 4Cream the butter and sugar in a another dish until the mixture is light and fluffy

 5Beat thoroughly after adding each egg, one at a time

 

    6Add the vanilla and milk, and whisk until combined

    7Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, and whisk until combined

    8Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan, and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean

    9Let the cake cool completely in the pan before removing it


 

2Decorating the cake

    1In a medium bowl, beat together the heavy cream and powdered sugar until thick

    2Frost the top and sides of the cake with the whipped cream

    3Spread a thin layer of whipped cream around the edges of the cake, so that the sugarpaste will stick to it

    4Knead the sugarpaste until soft and pliable

    5Divide the sugarpaste into 3 equal parts
