Maamoul dates are made in the Gulf, and this is what we will explain to you in detail, along with an explanation of how to prepare them. Maamoul is easy, tastes and tastes good, costs simple to make at home and is much sweeter. It is famous for making maamoul on religious occasions, especially on holidays such as Eid al-Fitr and Eid cake.

Dough amounts

- The weight of 2 kilos of very fine semolina "flour".
- Equivalent to the weight of 1 kilo of white flour.
A weight equivalent to a kilo of butter or a mixture of butter or margarine.
Two tablespoons of soft sugar.

Modus operandi of Maamoul dates

- First, you have to start preparing the date paste, then put the seeds in a pot with the spices and butter over a low heat, and leave the mixture until the dates absorb all the fat while stirring, then remove the pot from the heat and leave it until it cools.

- Secondly, mix the semolina with the flour and fine sugar, make a hole in the middle, put the butter in it, mix the ingredients well, then rub them between the palms of your hands, and let the mixture rest for a long time or until a whole night.

Thirdly, mix the yeast with the sugar, wet it with a little hot water, stir it well, then let the yeast ferment, pour it over the mixture of flour and semolina.

Fourth, gradually wet the mixture with blossom water, milk and lukewarm water until you get a soft dough.

Fifthly, make small balls from the date paste, and as for the dough, make balls the size of a walnut.

Sixth: Flatten the dough a little, put a flat date ball in the middle of it as well, wrap the dough around it, then put it in the Maamoul mold, press the dough a little so that it takes the shape of the mold.

Seventh, place the maamoul grains on top of the tray and let them ferment for 30 minutes.

Eighth, then bake it in a medium heat oven for 20-25 minutes.
